I graduated from the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in 1993. Upon graduation, I successfully completed the National Certification and New Hampshire state exams. I am Board Certified through the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork), licensed in the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM). I have a private practice in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and work in the Hematology/Oncology Department of Lahey Hospital and Medical Center’s in Burlington and Peabody, Massachusetts. I am part of the adjunct faculty team at Nashua (NH) Community College and teach classes in my field.
Since 1993 I have attended numerous workshops and conferences enhancing and expanding my knowledge in the field of massage, soft tissue therapies and energy work. Some of the subjects I have been trained in are: medical massage, stress and the immune system, pathology, fibromyalgia, elder needs and advanced training in oncology massage; this allows me to work with a range of clients/patients with complex medical conditions.
In 2003 I developed programs at area hospitals in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts for the seriously ill and have found this path to be very rewarding. I integrate therapeutic modalities and techniques to customize the patient’s treatment for a hospital or office setting. These techniques are carefully selected to help reduce the physical and emotional distress of their specific illness and side effects of medical treatments. These techniques can also be utilized for the elderly and adapted for people with medically complex conditions.
